High Speed Rail needs to take a lesson from Virgin America. It’s not about SPEED. It’s about the amazing productivity gains you can get by not driving to LA from SF. It’s the experience of larger seats, walking around, great views, dinner options, work desks in a group seating arrangement, much less stress….
California HSR is making a HUGE mistake comparing themselves to air travel. “Fly California” has been on their train set animations since inception (although i notice it’s not on the main page right now!).
And how long will it take before someone figures out we need to take our cars with us so it’s seamless? AutoTrains, AutoRacks… just like car ferries. Let’s go people!! This is OBVIOUS!
(I develop video games including railroad simulators in case anyone would like to see a better vision of CA HSR future created that people can see and use. And ask yourself, why hasn’t this been done for the public to date? iPad version, pc version….).
